Hello!

This is a blog about some of the things in my life that I've come to enjoy. I keep, so to speak, a record of all the things that I do in my spare time. I am a cat addict, nature fanatic, vintage lover, girl gamer, and love to research and write about interesting facts plus more! I hope you enjoy viewing my blog.

The adult male Mandarin duck is a beautiful and prominent bird. It has a red bill, large white crescent above the eye and many more colors around its face. The breast is purple with two vertical white stripes. It has two orange "sails" at the back. In molting season, the male looks like the female but can be distinguished by the red bill. As they are endangered, Mandarin ducks in eastern Russia and in China are both probably well below 1,000 pairs, but Japan may have around 5,000 pairs.

Its colors are very vibrant, making it one of the most beautifully colored birds in the world.

Keel-billed Toucan
